What's in it, and why?

The base. Sweet almond for sustained glide. Grapeseed to keep it light. Jojoba, closest in structure to skin's own oils, so skin is left soft rather than slick.

Lavender 

The anchor. Soft, herbaceous, clean — the scent people already read as spa before they've thought about it.

Peppermint

The edge. A cool, bright note that keeps the blend from going sleepy and gives your client something to notice.

Marjoram

The base note. Warm, slightly woody, a little sweet. It's the reason the scent stays with them after they've gotten dressed.

Together, the blend is comfortable enough that clients relax right away, and distinctive enough that they ask what you're using.

Storage and shelf life

Keep it closed, cool, and out of direct light. Decant into a working bottle rather than opening the jug every session — air is what ages an oil, and a gallon you open twice a month will outlast one you open twice a day.
